KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS boss Phil Brown reckoned Saturday’s point at Buxton could turn out to be ‘the most important of the season’.
Brown was frustrated his side could not earn a victory in Derbyshire – especially as title rivals Scunthorpe United lost at Radcliffe.
But he took heart from the fact that Harriers closed the gap at the top and added that the result showed his side could handle the pressure as they bid to return to the National League.
Kidderminster looked to be heading for defeat when Leeds United Academy midfielder Cian Coleman opened the scoring with eight minutes to go.
But Harriers levelled two minutes into stoppage time through Zach Brown.
Boss Brown told the club’s official YouTube channel: “With Scunthorpe losing, three points would’ve put us top and we’d be there to be shot at.

“But I can tell our fans that this could yet prove to be the most important point of the season.
“It shows we can handle the pressure and keeps the unbeaten run going. Because this side doesn’t want to be beaten.
“That’s the key. That’s the message that the pressure is going to get cranked up.”
Brown admitted he was disappointed with the overall display against a side who are also battling for a place in the play-offs.
The Harriers manager added: “”I’m not sure when our goal was scored, but I was more concerned about the 90 that went before it.
“I was really disappointed with the players. We said at half time, that we’ve got to stand up to Buxton physically first and foremost.
“But I thought technically, we didn’t really step up to the plate once we were winning that individual physical battle. We didn’t get the ball down and play. So that was a frustrating part in the first half.
“They scored with maybe their second shot on target. Areat goal from their perspective.
“But I’m talking to the players about ‘bottle’, because the pressure cooker situation’s just gets bigger and better.”
