KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Adam Murray admitted he was ‘raging’ after another late goal denied them all three points.
Harriers travelled to Alfreton Town on Saturday and drew 1-1.
They took the lead through Tobi Sho-Silva just before half-time – but Siya Ligendza levelled for the Derbyshire side in the seventh minute of stoppage time.
And the late goal left Murray frustrated about a game he left Harriers should have wrapped up long before Alfeton’s equaliser.
The result leaves Harriers in fifth spot in National League North – but 11 points behind leaders Fylde.
Murray told the club’s official YouTube channel: “I haven’t felt as frustrated as this in a long time.
“We had enough chances to win three games, it’s got to be put to bed now. It’s simple.
“If we’re not going to score goals, we’re going to feel like this. They didn’t lay laid a glove on us. But in the last 10 minutes, we’re giving them opportunities. We keep kicking it out of the play, just keep slashing at it.
“That’s not what we’re asking people to do. That’s a rash mindset.
“We’re sitting in fifth in the table and we’ve had three games like that now that should all have been three wins, and we should be competing in that top three.
“I’m raging if I’m being honest. There was a lot of emotion because we’re our own worst enemies.
“You can’t keep expecting defenders to keep grinding out in the last 10 minutes to try and get a clean sheet.
“We’re doing it consistently and we’re making our job harder than it has to be.
“There’s nobody I’m looking at that’s causing a problem other than us. We’re causing our own problems..
“We created enough chances, I think we had 18 shots. This is a common story and it might take a couple of days to get out of our system, but it’s got to be done quickly, we’ve got another game on Tuesday.”
