AN Alex Whitmore strike denied Forest Green the chance to go top of the National League on Saturday.
Robbie Savage’s side after fought back from behind to draw 1-1 – with Moors taking a huge point home with them.
Leaders Rochdale saw their fixture against Southend abandoned, but second-placed Forest Green fell behind after 43 minutes when Whitmore looped a header over a defender before half-volleying into the net – with Scott High providing the assist.
Harry Whitwell was denied by the post before half-time and then saw his strike after the resumption kept out by a goal-line clearance from James Clarke, who repeated his last-gasp heroics moments later.

Nick Haughton levelled in the 62nd minute with a fine low strike from outside the area, but Rovers were unable to go on and bag the winner that would have seen them leapfrog Rochdale.
