THERE was no happy return for Chris Millington at Halifax.

The Moors boss stepped down from the Shaymen job in May – and joined Solihull last month.

But Will Harris’ hat-trick fired Halifax to a 3-0 win on an afternoon that saw both teams reduced to 10 men.

Moors had been looking for a fourth straight National League win as they headed to West Yorkshire.

But Solihull’s hopes were dealt a blow with Brad Nicholson’s controversial red card just before half-time.

Harris had already put Halifax one up when Will Hugill broke clear.

Nicholson challenge appeared to see him win the ball.

But ref Emily Heaslip thought differently and immediately showed a straight red card to the Moors left-back.

Harris added another goal in the 53rd minute and the former Sunderland forward completed his hat-trick in the 70th minute to wrap up the points before Halifax’s Jamie Cooke became the second player to be sent off in the game.
