SOLIHULL Moors recorded their third win in a row – but it came at a cost.
Midfielder Bradley Stevenson scored, but was later sent off as Chris Millington’s side beat Scunthorpe 3-0 at Damson Park.
Stevenson, who gave Solihull a 2-0 interval lead after Tyrese Sinclair’s opener, was shown his second yellow card late in the first half for diving – but Scunthorpe could not make their advantage count.
Sinclair fired Solihull into a 15th-minute lead when he rounded goalkeeper Rory Mahady before sliding the ball into an empty net – and Stevenson made it 2-0 by converting a rebound on the half-hour mark before his dismissal in the 40th minute.
Solihull came under heavy pressure in the second half, but their defence held firm and defender Tyler French’s close-range header in the 71st minute sealed all three points.
The result means Moors have not conceded at home since Millington became manager – with Soilhull now 11th in the National League table, and six points off the play-off spots.
