SOLIHULL Moors’ squad building has continued today (Thursday) with midfielder Ben Worman joining from Gateshead.
Ben, 23, became Cambridge United’s youngest ever player when he made his debut at just 16.
After that, he made a number of loans, then joined Cork City before making the move to Gateshead where he became an integral part of their team.
The move bolsters Head Coach Matt Taylor’s options in midfield ahead of the new season – and is Moors’ third major signing in four days.
Taylor told the Moors’ official website: “Ben is another really exciting signing for us. We’re really pleased to add a midfielder of his quality to the squad.
“It’s been a busy week or two bringing players in and I must say a huge thanks for the support from our Chairman as always.
“We feel we are in good shape ahead of a long pre-season and Ben’s arrival along with the other signings adds even more quality to our squad.
“Ben’s been very successful at this level and is another player who has been on our radar for a while.
“He’s technically very good – he gets around the pitch well and we believe he will be a very good player for this club.
“Add to that the number of games he’s played at his age we’re really pleased to have secured his services – we hope to give him the platform to get even better”.
