HEDNESFORD Town boss Gavin Hurren will call for more intensity from his side in Tuesday’s FA Cup replay at Billericay Town.
The Pitmen were held to a goal-less draw by the Essex side on Saturday, leaving Hednesford with a midweek round trip of 300 miles.
A crowd of more than 2,000 were at Keys Park for the game – with the winners facing a trip to Spennymoor in the fourth round qualifying.
Hurren told the club’s official YouTube channel: “For the amount of people that came to pay, it was just a frustrating day, and I would’ve liked it to be a bit more entertaining.
“I felt with the form we were coming off, we were confident
“We got caught in with their game plan, which they obviously set up to do.
“But look, they had a long journey up here. And that’s what they probably thought, ‘can we try and get the replay’ – which they have.
”So well done to them. And I’m looking forward to going down there Tuesday now.
“And putting a team out there to hopefully get the win. I thought second half, we gave it a go.
“But, considering way we’ve been playing, it just seemed like very stop-start. But, on a positive, it was still another clean sheet for ourselves. I think that’s four now on the spin.”
