SOLIHULL MOORS’ summer rebuild has continued with former Reading academy defender Cameron Green signing for the new season.
The left-sided player also had spells at Wrexham, Bromley, Braintree Town and Welling United.
Green joined Boston United last season where he came close to being ever-present – and now he has linked up with some familiar faces in the new-look Moors squad.
He said: “I played in the same side as Brad Nicholson last season at Boston and with Tyler French at Wrexham and we spoke over the summer.
“They both said what a good club this is and what the plans there are for the next season and beyond.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve played over 100 games over the last couple of seasons and have been enjoying my football. Now the aim is to come here, play with energy and enthusiasm and hopefully play my part in the club’s success.”
Head Coach Matt Taylor said the player’s versatility was a major factor in the move for Green.
He said: “Cam has a fantastic engine and can play as a left wing-back or full back.
“He has plenty of experience, knows this level, and as with all the players we have signed. He’s an outstanding character who will demand the most out of everyone around him. He has that bit of quality on the ball and we think the fans are going to enjoy watching him.”
Moors snapped up former Tamworth striker Dan Creaney on Monday.
