SOLIHULL Moors have appointed former Coventry City chief Dave Boddy as CEO of the National League club.

The club say Boddy brings a wealth of experience from across the football world.

His most notable role was as CEO of Coventry City from 2017 to 2024, overseeing a rise from League Two to the Championship and being a penalty kick away from the Premier League.

He was also previously Chair of Worcester City and CEO of Newport County AFC, as well as holding senior roles in the general administration of the game.

Boddy told the club’s official website:  “I’m really excited about the opportunity that the Moors are offering me and excited to be back in the game.

“Chairman Darryl Eales and the rest of the team have built a great infrastructure for the club, and the training ground is the envy of most League One and Two clubs.

“I’ll be bringing a wealth of experience, ideas and enthusiasm to try and further help develop the club both on and off the pitch, and further cement it at the heart of its community.

“Myself and Darryl have been speaking about the possibilities for over six months, and Darryl involved me in the process of appointing Chris Millington at the back end of September, which gave me a great insight to how the club operates and what great potential there is.”

Eales added: “ I’m truly delighted to welcome Dave to the Moors. We are very fortunate to have someone of his pedigree and wealth of knowledge and experience of the game.

“He’s well respected and liked for his ability, relationship-based approach and integrity, and I’m excited to work together.”
