DAN Creaney set his sights on the National League play-offs after scoring the winner against Brackley on Saturday.

Creaney’s 81st minute goal proved enough to seal the points.

Solihull keeper Laurie Walker made a big save in the opening exchanges to deny former Moors forward Connor Hall, while Ben Worman’s effort from the edge of the box was forced wide at the other end.

Solihull striker Jake Wakeling also tested Saints keeper Jonny Maxted with a long-range shot as half-time approached.

Morgan Roberts came close but was kept out by Walker on the hour mark, while moments later, Worman had another effort saved as the hosts replied with a chance of their own.

It was Solihull who finally got on the scoresheet as Creaney broke the deadlock with his third goal of the season.

Creaney told the club’s X account: “The last couple of games we’ve been getting the points and it’s a good time in the season now.

“We’ve got to pick it up and we’re moving up the table now. It’s looking good at the moment.

“Hopefully, we can do what we said we were going to do and get  near the play-offs.

… and makes his way in among the fans to celebrate

“The goal was a tap-in but I’ll take that. I don’t get many, so it’s happy days.

“I was a bit more frustrated because I think I let the lads down with the chances, but to get that one over the line was a relief, that’s what the celebration was more than anything else.”
