MATT Clarke said his over-riding feeling was one of ‘relief’ after a derby victory over Bromsgrove.

And then he let rip – accusing his counterparts at Sporting of ‘unprofessional’ conduct in the build-up.

Ryan Boothe’s winner in injury time brought the Reds a 1-0 triumph that lifted them four points clear of the dropzone.

Clarke was clearly delighted with the points. But less happy with some unspecified conduct prior to kick off that riled him.

He said: “Relief is the word when you are on a really tough run, there’s nothing better than a last minute winner against your local rivals.

“First half, we looked a real threat. Second half, Bromsgrove were better. We looked nervous and we showed really good character. I think the boys who came in were fantastic.

“We have been on a bad run and we brought four in. The dressing room needed a lift and the new players gave it that.”

However, that was just a taster for what followed as he was clearly upset after the final whistle.

He said: “That’s six on the bounce now against Bromsgrove…there were a few things said.. you hear things from other managers, there were a few things that had upset me in the lead up to the game of the game that I’d heard had come from them or one of their staff members.

“It was really unprofessional and out of order.

“That gave us the incentive. We deserved it and I’m really pleased. I’m hoping that has shut a few people up. That’s one defeat at home in five months. We haven’t scored a lot of goals but we are not alone in that.”
