SCOTT Adey-Linforth claimed Carter Lycett’s dramatic injury-time free-kick was ‘worthy of winning any game,’ after the Rouslers’ dramatic 3-2 victory at St Ives Town.
Bromsgrove’s boss was looking to get out of Cambridgeshire with a point after the hosts stormed back into a contest where they had fallen two goals behind.
But Lycett struck with a peach of a set-piece in the dying seconds to bring the Rouslers victory and continue their upwards momentum under the club’s new boss.
The afternoon appeared to be going swimmingly when the visitors charged into a two-goal lead thanks to Lycett’s opener and a second from Theo Robinson.
But Josh Allen reduced the arrears before the interval and Will Glennon’s goal early in the second-half place an entirely different complexion on the game.
However, Lycett’s 30-yarder sealed the points.

The Rouslers’ chief said: “We have had some unbelievable moments since we have been in the job and that’s another one.
“I thought we were brilliant, two-up, which we deserved – made an error and it’s led to a goal.
“Second-half, it’s flipped and they have completely dominated us. I just wanted to take a point and go home.
“A bit of magic at the end from Carter has won us three points.
“I think it was a smash ’n’ grab and we probably didn’t deserve it. But it was a hellava strike and worthy of winning any game.
“We’ve stayed in it dug in and managed to win it.
“Carter was excellent. He’s taken his moment and good luck to him. This a good team we’ve played. They are seven matches unbeaten. I’m delighted with the win.”
