DARLASTON Town gave their play off hopes a boost with a win at top five hopefuls Corby Town on Saturday.
Rivel Mardenborough opened the scoring after 50 minutes and Jake Pearson sealed the points with seven minutes left.
The win in Northamptonshire made sure Darlaston stayed in what is an increasingly tight battle to make the Northern Premier League Midlands play-offs.
Sporting Khalsa collected a vital point at Loughborough Students to stay just outside of the top five.

But Worcester City have given themselves some breathing space with two successive 3-0 wins.
On Saturday, they left it late to beat Rugby Town, but two goals from Zach Guinan, with
Shay Palmer netting in between, sealed the win.
But on Tuesday, Worcester added to that by beating struggling Lye Town.
Hayden Reeves opened the scoring after 51 minutes, with a Dylan Hart double making sure of the points.
Lye also lost on Saturday, with Sutton Coldfield Town earning a 4-1 win at The Sports Ground.
Ryan Edmunds put Sutton ahead but Elliott Ball levelled from the penalty spot two minutes before the break.
But Sutton took control in the second half with Kory Burke, Luke McGinnell and Tom Hurley on target.

Coleshill Town left it late to win at Coventry Sphinx.
Taylor Carter-Byrne put Coleshill ahead after eight minutes but Kyle Burke levelled for Sphinx.
A draw looked likely until Ross Evans scored the winner in stoppage time.
Goals from Cameron Ebbutt, Archie Hamp and Harry Eden earned Racing Club Warwick a 3-1 win over Grantham Town after Ben Richards had put the Lincolnshire side ahead after just seven minutes.
Two goals from Dom Brennan before the break helped Hinckley Leicester Road to a 3-0 win at Wellingborough Town – after Michael Armstrong had opened the scoring.
