TAMWORTH boss Andy Peaks says he remains confident that his side can turn their recent form around and get back on track.
But he admits the Lambs will be facing one of the best sides in the National League on Saturday.
Tamworth go to Boreham Wood on the back of four successive defeats in all competitions.
The latest came at Forest Green on Tuesday, when they played much of the game with 10 men.
Defender Jordan Cullinane-Liburd was shown a straight red card in the fifth minute for his challenge on Isaac Moore – and despite taking the lead through Manny Duku, Tamworth lost 4-2.
Joe Rye headed the Lambs’ second goal but it was no more than a consolation in terms of the final result.
Now Tamworth take on Boreham Wood who are just a point behind leaders Carlisle United.
Peaks told the club’s official YouTube channel: “We’ve spoken to a lot of people who’ve watched Boreham Wood, and they’re saying they’re probably the best team they’ve seen so far.
“So, again, we know it’s going to be really difficult. But we’re going to have to go again, which is fine.
“Whether we’ll get some bodies back I don’t know, obviously we’ve got some injuries as well, which isn’t helping.
“It’s a big test for the whole squad. But, this is a good group, and we’ll find a way within the next few games to turn things around,
“Hopefully on Saturday. We know it’s going to be a tough test, but then, like we said, they all are.”
Peaks admitted having a man sent off so early at Forest Green meant it was always going to be difficult to come away with anything.
He added: “Forest Green are full of good players, they’re a big club and looking to get out of this league.
“So we knew it was going to be tough. And to play so long with 10 men made it even more difficult.
“However, you know, from then on, I was so proud of them putting in a real good shift, they stayed in the game and took the lead.”
