TAMWORTH’s fourth win in five games has put them within sight of the National League play-offs.
After starting the season hoping to avoid relegation, Andy Peaks’ side are now just three points off a top seven spot.
Their latest win came at Gateshead – play-off challengers themselves – with the Lambs taking a 2-0 victory in the North East.
Dan Creaney put the visitors in front on the hour with a looping header from Callum Cockerill-Mollett’s cross – as the Tamworth forward scored his 101st goal for the club.
Creaney then found Tom McGlinchey, who struck the Lambs’ second with 12 minutes left.
As for Gateshead, they suffered a fifth successive defeat to Peaks’ in-form side – with Tamworth extending their unbeaten run to seven games.
