TAMWORTH have announced that Dan Creaney is to leave and join National League rivals Solihull Moors.
Creaney completed his tally of 100 goals for The Lambs last season as Andy Peaks’ side consolidated their position in the National League after two successive promotions.
Peaks said they offered him terms as high as they could go – but could not match what the player has been offered by Moors.
The 30-year-old was Tamworth’s top scorer last season with 19 league goals.
The club posted today (Monday) and said: “After six seasons at the Lamb, Tamworth Football Club can confirm that Dan Creaney is leaving the club to join a full-time club.”
There was no immediate indication of Creaney’s next move but Moors later announced they had signed Creaney.
Peaks said: “It’s with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Dan Creaney, who will be leaving Tamworth FC.
“Dan has been a huge part of our journey over the past few years, playing a vital role both on and off the pitch.
“His commitment, quality, and presence in the dressing room have made him a key figure in everything we’ve achieved.
“As a management team, we’ve done everything we possibly could to keep Dan at the club.

“We offered as high as we physically could, but ultimately the offer he’s received elsewhere was simply too good to turn down – and one we just couldn’t get anywhere near to matching.
“While we’re obviously gutted to see him go, we fully respect his decision and wish him nothing but success in the next chapter of his career.
“Dan leaves with our utmost gratitude and best wishes – he’ll always be welcome at Tamworth FC. That’s football, and now we move on, continuing to build and push forward.”
