TAMWORTH boss Andy Peaks says his side have ‘real belief and togetherness’ after extending their unbeaten National League run to six games.
The Lambs came from behind to earn a 1-1 home draw against Morecambe to keep the run going.
Gwion Edwards gave the struggling Shrimps the lead with 16 minutes remaining as they aimed to end a run of three successive defeats.
But Kennedy Digie replied five minutes later with his fourth goal in five games.
The defender headed home a Ben Milnes’ corner to level it up.
But Ben Tollitt could have won it for Morecambe deep into time added on, but drove wide when well placed.
The Lambs are now ninth in the National League table and only outside of the play-off places on goal difference.
Peaks told Tamworth’s official YouTube channel: “I was delighted with the point gained at Hartlepool – any points away from home are massive, but this could so easily have been another three as we kept our unbeaten run going.
“We created more chances against them than most teams have managed this season, and it shows where we’re at.
“Even after conceding, we grew stronger and pushed for the equaliser, which speaks volumes about the squad’s character.
“Last week against Altrincham, I was disappointed with our first-half display, but the lads showed unbelievable determination to turn it around.
“Goals from Kennie and Alfie highlighted the quality we have, and to come away with three points from a tough midweek trip was excellent.
“This group has real belief and togetherness, and it’s showing in the results.”
