TAMWORTH moved ever closer to their 50-point safety target with victory at doomed Ebbsfleet United.
Dan Creaney scored twice as the Lambs collected a much-needed win at the bottom-placed club.
But it was not a comfortable win, despite Tamworth scoring three times in five minutes before the break.
Ebbsfleet have not won a game since September 14 and are adrift in the fight to avoid drop.
But they shocked Andy Peaks’ side into action when George Moncur put the Kent side ahead after 27 minutes.

Tamworth hit back with a quickfire double from Creaney as half-time loomed – as he scored after 38 and 40 minutes.
Alex Lankshear then scored an own goal for the Lambs ahead of the break – and that was enough to ensure a first win in seven games.
But it was not all plain sailing, as Haydn Hollis put through his own goal in the second half. Tamworth – 11 points clear of the relegation zone – held on to the advantage though and now face Wealdstone at home on Tuesday night.
