TAMWORTH have confirmed that their FA Trophy match with Boston United will go ahead as planned on Saturday – despite a burglary at The Lamb Ground this week.
Club officials revealed details of the break-in – which happened on Wednesday and with items stolen and damage caused.
A Tamworth statement reads: “Tamworth Football Club would like to update supporters on our earlier post regarding our overnight break-in.
“We were very disappointed to find areas of the ground had been targeted.
“Various items have been taken, such as laptops, alcohol, chocolates, an amplifier, microphones and charity boxes.
“These targeted areas have also been damaged and repairs are now under way.
Tamworth Football Club are disappointed to report that the stadium was broken into overnight, with several areas of the ground affected.

“We are asking our local community to be aware of any items that could be available to purchase, such as Lenovo Thinkpad Laptops, of which 25 have been taken and were used by our Tamworth Academy Scholarship Programme as part of their education.
“Our CCTV footage has picked up two people in the ground at 2:27am (on Thursday). We are asking for residents who live on Castle View and Cross Street to check any cameras and doorbell cameras to see if they have picked up any movement.
