TAMWORTH favourite Beck-Ray Enoru has signed a new deal with the Lambs for this season.
The forward said it was an ‘easy decision’ to sign on again for Tamworth after impressing under boss Andy Peaks.
Enoru, 22, told the club’s X account: “There were rumours flying about, but I made a decision to stay for the season.
“As a team here we just try and entertain the fans, get them singing and get some points on the board.
“I hope everyone has a great season from here.”
On a busy day for the Lambs, Tamworth also confirmed the signing of Reuben Wyatt this evening (Friday).
He is the club’s fourth summer signing after leaving Northampton Town FC.
Wyatt, 19, is a central midfielder and has had also had spells with St Albans and Redditch.
Tamworth also announced the signing of Alfie Bates, 24, on a permanent basis after leaving Brackley Town FC earlier this month.
The midfielder played Academy football at Coventry City and then as a youth at Birmingham City before joining Walsall and then playing his football in Finland.
Bates told the club’s X account: “I’m really excited. It’s a great club, a big club with a big fan base.
“I had a couple of chats with the gaffer and it sounded really good – something I’d hoped for as a free agent in the summer. Then it just got going quickly.
“I like to get forward and be a bit of rock the box player, I can get louder on the pitch when I need to be, but it’s a team game and I want to help Tamworth get as high in the table as possible.”
That adds to two other signings made by Tamworth this week – Harvey Sayer and Tyler Roberts.
Winger Harvey Sayer joins the Lambs after an impressive two-year spell at Lowestoft Town, where he netted over 50 goals and earned widespread attention for his attacking flair and dead-ball prowess.
The left-footed attacker, who prefers to operate off the right wing, began his career at Norwich City before earning a scholarship and professional contract with Colchester United.
Sayer told the club’s official website: “I’d like to say I’m an exciting player. I love attacking, creating chances and getting at defenders.
“Set pieces are also a big strength of mine, and I’m hoping to chip in with both goals and assists.”
Sayer finished as the second top scorer in the FA Cup last season with with eight goals.
He added: “I had a positive conversation with Andy Peaks. He told me about the team he’s building and the close-knit group here.
“That really appealed to me. Tamworth’s a step up for me, and I’m determined to prove I can succeed at this level.”
Roberts, is a pacey and direct winger who joined from AFC Fylde after spending the bulk of his development at Wolves from the age of 8 to 21.
He said: “I’m a local lad — I’m from Brownhills — so playing for a club where my family can come and support me is massive.
“Tamworth impressed a lot of people last year with how well they did in the league and FA Cup, and I want to be a part of that momentum.
“I’m someone who brings pace and directness — I want to excite fans, create chances and score goals. I know the toughness of this league, and I’m ready for the challenge.”
