TAMWORTH have given their National League run-in a boost by signing Danny Waldron on loan from Southend United for the remainder of the season.
The Southend Echo reports that Waldron, 28, has not started for the Essex club since August, and has scored three goals in 30 appearances for the club in total since signing in January last year.
Waldron, previously with Alvechurch and Rushall Olympic, will now be eager for more first team football with the Lambs who sit 11th in the table after an impressive season.

He will also give Andy Peaks’ side more firepower up front following the loss of Nathan Tshikuna to Eastleigh, and Chris Wreh, who has been on loan at National League North side Scunthorpe United.
Waldron is likely to be in Peaks’ plans for Saturday’s trip to Dagenham & Redbridge.
