CAPTAIN Tobiasz Musielak admits it was another frustrating and disappointing night for Birmingham after being beaten 49-41 by Ipswich at home on Monday.
The Curtis Sport Brummies remain pointless in this year’s ROWE Motor Oil Premiership – and were not helped this time around by Michael Jepsen Jensen’s decision to quit UK racing in the build-up to the fixture against the Witches.
But the league leaders were unlucky not to win by even more at Perry Barr with a hat-trick of mechanical misfortunes costing them extra points along the way, even in the absence of injured No.1 Jason Doyle and star reserve Dan Thompson.
And despite rounding off his own night with five straight wins, Musielak admitted he felt flat after another tough night for the team.
“It was another disappointment,” Musielak said. “It is very frustrating to have another loss.
“I see some guys struggling with the set-ups and whilst Matej (Zagar – in his first fixture back following visa issues) was very pumped and motivated for the meeting, I think a lack of racing for him did not help.
“We just need to keep focussed and keep our heads up because if we go in with our chins down, this will make it worse.
“So we need to motivate ourselves – that is the only way we can win.”
