BIRMINGHAM’S scheduled Easter Monday home fixture against Belle Vue has been postponed.
Heavy morning rain has left the track sodden and with plenty more still forecast into the afternoon, the club have decided to call the meeting off to minimise inconvenience for all involved.
A retsaging date has been set for Monday, June 2 with the rained off morning meeting in Manchester already rescheduled for Thursday, June 5.
The Aces have won three of their four Premiership contests to date and are spearheaded by Grand Prix duo Brady Kurtz and Dan Bewley with former Brummie Zach Cook also in their ranks.
Birmingham had shuffled their riding order slightly with Michael Jepsen Jensen moving to No.5 with former Belle Vue man Matej Zagar ruled out due to Visa complications.
Dan Thompson was stepping in for the home fixture with Keynan Rew also now ruled out due to food poisoning.
Team manager Chris Adams said before the postponement: “It’s obviously a massive blow to be without two riders, particularly the likes of Matej and Keynan.

“Keynan has been pretty solid for us so far this season and Matej was really raring to go against his old club.
“There’s nothing at all we can do about Keynan’s food poisoning and the Visa situation with Matej is hopefully going to be fast-tracked so we just sit and wait for that to come through now.
“The rest of the lads are looking forward to two meetings in one day though and it’s going to need them all to be on it.
“Hopefully Antti (Vuolas) can get his season going properly against his old side and we’ll give it everything we’ve got to try and come away with at least two or three points.”
