STERRE Kalis fired a half century as Bears Women sealed a 22-run victory at Somerset on Friday.
Bears won the toss and Captain Georgia Davis opted to bat.
Two early wickets meant the loss of Meg Austin and Amu Surenkumar.
Davina Perrin seemed to pick up the pace after hitting four fours in one over.
But she was then dismissed and Kalis then entered to power to a 50 off 38 balls.
Laura Harris and Katie George kept up the pace before Bears reached 149 for eight at the end of the 20 overs.
When Somerset began their reply, Phoebe Brett set the tone as she took a wicket in her first over.
She quickly followed that up by taking another to leave Somerset, struggling.
Somerset began to get back into the game, but a wicket from Davis and a caught and bowled by Hannah Baker stopped that momentum.
Some excellent fielding and glove work allowed the Bears to show why they are second in the Vitality Blast table.
