BIRMINGHAM Moseley RFC are set to host Dings Crusaders this Saturday – with Director of Rugby Adam Balding emphasising the need for an ’80 minute performance’.
The game against the Bristol side is an a crucial early season clash for both sides.
Balding and the team are focused on reacting well to a loss to Rosslyn Park last weekend, which saw the game get away from Moseley in the last 15 minutes.
With one win and two away losses to start the season, the Mose need a win at The Birmingham Moseley Sporting Village.
Balding discussed the defeat to Rosslyn park and emphasised the need for an 80 minute performance.
He said: “At 26-24 on 65 minutes, I felt we had the momentum. Rossyln Park then created and executed on three opportunities and to come away with nothing was a real disappointment – we certainly deserved two points.
“We’re quite a reactive team and collectively we react well. It happens to be Dings coming
to Billesley common, but whoever it is we need an 80 minute performance.
“It’s game four not game 24, so we have time, but the reality is that we need to make things count and we will on Saturday.”
The club are encouraging all local residents and rugby supporters to come down and support the team.
Gates will open at midday and Balding emphasised the importance of a big crowd to the performance of the players.
He added: “It makes a massive difference, the atmosphere is outstanding. We’re can’t wait to put in a performance for the fans on Sunday.”
