HALESOWEN TOWN boss Russ Penn admitted he was ‘embarrassed’ by Saturday’s incredible 5-5 draw at Sudbury.
The Yeltz came from behind to earn a point, thanks to a Ty Barnett goal during a frantic stoppage time which saw the Suffolk side take a 5-4 lead.
But Barnett’s goal came with 98th minute on the clock.
Fin Holmes scored twice – once from the penalty spot – with Rob Evans and Ben Cassidy also finding the net against a side battling to avoid the drop.
But Penn told Halesowen’s X account: “I’m a bit embarrassed to be honest.
“Credit where credit’s due, we never stopped.
“But the game could’ve been 16-15, and that’s not how I want to play.
“Scoring five away from home and not winning? I’m not accepting that.
“It’s 10 goals in three games and we won’t be getting anywhere like that.
“But that was unacceptable from some of them.”
Redditch United are still on course for a play-off spot after beating struggling Stamford on Monday night.
Matt Warburton scored a first-half penalty but the points were not sealed until the sixth minute of stoppage time when Liam Loughlan grabbed Redditch’s second.

Stratford boss Paul Davis told the club’s official YouTube channel: “Playing with 10 men’s hard enough for St Ives, but nine’s a really hard gig.
“We had momentum and we just stuck with it. We thoroughly deserved the win even though we were poor early on.
“It’s four on the bounce but we’re ticking the games off as we go.”
