KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Adam Murray praised his team for bouncing back from last weekend’s thrashing at the hands of Radcliffe.
Harriers took a point in a 1-1 draw at Chester – with Ryley Reynolds netting before the break.
Murray felt his side could have won – but was pleased that the turbulence of the previous week appears to have calmed down in the wake of last weekend’s 5-1 defeat at Aggborough.
He told the club’s YouTube channel: “I think it was the most all round performance. that we’ve had for a long time.
“After the recent two results, especially after last Saturday, there was a real hurt in the camp. There was a hurt in the support, and we all felt it.
“There was also a take away from the football side of it as a human being. It’s been a really tough week.
“But I’m I’m really proud of the substance I sensed from the team here. There were some huge performances out there.
“I saw a team with passion and hunger. We could have had four or five goals.
“They all stood up to a man and we would have loved the three points, but I think when you come way to a place like this – especially with the last couple of results we’ve had, we’ve just got to stop that little bleed.
“It was a minor bleed. and we just had to put up a plaster on it – we did that with a really good performance.”
Harriers are now outside of the play-off spots only on goal difference – and go to Merthyr Town on Tuesday.
Leamington were beaten at home by Darlington – and are two points above the relegation zone.
A goal from Jack Maskell – with four minutes left – dashed the Brakes’ hopes of taking a point from a side who have now climbed above them in the table.
Leamington are back at home on Tuesday when they take on Macclesfield.
