SUTTON Coldfield Town pulled off a memorable FA Cup win on Saturday to reach the Third Round Qualifying.
They beat Southern League Premier Central side Stourbridge 3-1 at The Domino’s Arena.
Jayden Campbell opened the scoring and wrapped up the tie with Sutton’s third goal.
Reece Gibson regained the lead after Jez Abbey had levelled for The Glassboys from the penalty spot.
Glassboys coach Billy Walwyn told the club’s official YouTube channel: “At half-time, there were a few harsh words because we were so poor in the first half.
“That’s where we lost it. We threw everything at them but the lads know they’ve got to be better.”
Halesowen Town will try again on Tuesday night as they replay their tie with Grimsby Borough.
The Yeltz collected a 1-1 draw on the road with Jason Cowley levelled after 20 minutes following Reece Yorke’s opener.
But they had Jamie Willets sent off with 20 minutes to go for second yellow card offence.
That was after Grimsby skipper Alex Flett had also seen red for the Lincolnshire side.
Halesowen boss Russ Penn told the club’s official website: “The tie’s not over yet, as obviously they have to come to us on Tuesday, but it was a frustrating afternoon as the only chance they had was the one they scored.
“We’re disappointed to go back home without the win, but credit to Grimsby Borough because they defended very well.
“You have to have that little bit of creativity to win tough games against a side who sit back because of a sending off, and unfortunately we couldn’t find it.”
Racing Club Warwick blew a three goal lead against Evesham and must now replay on Tuesday.
Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton scored twice inside 23 minutes and Kyle Barnett looked to have sealed the game with Warwick’s third goal after 37 minutes.
But Levi Steele pulled one back for Evesham before the break – and Andre Wright set up a grandstand finish with 21 minutes left.
And Ioan Richards scored a dramatic equaliser five minutes into stoppage time.
Chasetown will replay their tie with Banbury on Tuesday after a goal-less draw on Saturday.
But Northern Premier League side Rushall Olympic are out of the Cup after losing at Gainsborough Trinity.
Pics reached the first round proper last year, and Jordaan Brown gave them a first half lead – but Gainsbrough fought back in the second half to win 2-1.
