KIDDERMINSTER Harriers boss Adam Murray admits his side will be on familiar territory when they continue their FA Cup campaign on Saturday.
Harriers go to National League North rivals AFC Telford for a Second Round Qualifying tie.
Telford are currently six points behind Kidderminster in the league – but Murray knows that will count for little in what promises to be a game with plenty of atmosphere attached to it.
The Harriers boss old the club’s official YouTube channel: “I’m excited for the weekend. I love the FA club and we’re ready to roll.
“It’s got a lot of history, it’s traditional, it gives you memories, and it takes your places.
“But effectively, it’s a league game, because of course they’re in the same league. I would’ve preferred a tie where you’re playing someone from another level, because I think that throws all different kinds of obstacles.
“The fact that it’s a same team from the same league makes it more of a smoother preparation because nothing really changes. We know what to expect from them.”
Leamington, also from National League North, go to in-form Alvechurch from Southern League Premier Central.
There is an interesting tie at Coleshill Town where Hednesford Town, from the Northern Premier League, are the visitors.
Coleshill are at Northern Premier Midland level – with the Pitmen playing in the West Division last season.
Chasetown have a proud history in the FA Cup and they will hope to progress against Southern League Banbury.
Stourbridge go to Sutton Coldfield Town – while Rushall Olympic, another Northern Premier League side, are at Gainsborough Trinity in Lincolnshire.
There is no Midlands derby for Halesowen Town who face a long trip to Grimsby Borough.
In contrast, only 25 miles separates Evesham United and Racing Club Warwick.
Warwick will be hosting the sides’ cup tie at Townsend Meadow.
