CITY of Birmingham Rockets’ scheduled league match with Hemel Storm has been postponed.
The game was set to take place tonight (Saturday) but Hemel’s injury problems have left them unable to field a team.
As yet, the game has yet to rescheduled – but the club have issued a statement explaining the situation.
It reads: “Birmingham Rockets regret to announce this Saturday’s British Championship Basketball lLeague game against Hemel Storm has been postponed.
“Unfortunately, they are currently unable to fill the team due to multiple injuries, leaving them without the minimum number of available players required to safely fulfil the fixture.
“Although this situation is completely out of our control, we understand it will be disappointing news for our supporters.
“We appreciate your understanding and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
“All purchased tickets will be honoured for any rescheduled fixture, or if you prefer, you may also transfer your ticket to any other regular-season home game this season.
“Thank you for your continued support of Birmingham Rockets.
“Please stay tuned to our official channels for further updates in the coming days.
“Our next home game will now be on Sunday, January 4, 2026, against Newcastle Knights.”
