WE were pumped up for last week’s victory on the road at Bristol Flyers – now we have to keep that feeling going for this weekend.
After losing in a tight game to Essex Rebels the previous week, we were determined to return to winning ways last weekend.
We made a plan, stuck to it and it was a great response from the whole team. We conducted ourselves well after some strong words with ourselves in the week about discipline and doing the right thing for the team.
And we delivered with a 93-72 win. But when it comes to discipline, it starts before the game, it starts before we travel to the game, it starts with all the things that you, you should be doing.
The whole point is contributing to the greater good, making sure that, you know, you’re working towards a goal. You set a target and do the things that help you get to that target.
Avoiding anything that takes you away from getting to that target is good discipline.

So concentration is a big part of it. We knew that Flyers were one of the weaker teams in that league. But at the end of the day, you can only play what’s in front of you. And we didn’t want to be the team that lost to them.
We didn’t take them lightly. We knew what they wanted to do. We kept them out of their comfort zones and it was a really good performance. We did exactly what we were supposed to be doing.
Now we aim to keep that momentum going when we play Yorkshire Dragons – formerly Bradford Dragons – on Saturday.
It’s a dress rehearsal for the Trophy Final coming up later in the season.
So both teams are going to be watching each other to see how we go about the game. There’ll be a bit of chess involved with neither side wanting to give too much away and seeing what moves we make.
but So it’s a little bit of a dress rehearsal, this, isn’t it? Is that how you see? You’ seen that as part of the game?
Winning that final is one of our biggest goals right now. So, yeah, we got we’ve got to understand what this moment means.

We haven’t played each other yet. We’re going to see each other’s roster. We’re going to see how we match up. We’re going to see what happens in the game. Who shoots well, who doesn’t shoot well, who doesn’t like certain things.
And we’re also expecting our biggest crowd of the season for this game, thanks to the work the club’s been doing behind the scenes.

Obviously, we’re aiming for another win. But I understand that the fan want to see a good game.
