IT’S been another successful week for the Rockets as our winning streak continued.
Victory at Hemel last week made it four victories in a row – and our confidence is sky high at the moment.
We’re in the kind of form that makes this weekend’s double header easier to handle.
Playing on Saturday, and then again 24 hours later, is a tough schedule. But right now, when you’re in winning form, all you want do is play.

Last Saturday, we went to Hemel knowing it would be a good test of how far we’ve come this season.
And we produced a great final quarter to run out winners. And to do it the manner that we did, it was just fantastic.
There were moments in a game where they had a lot of the momentum. But generally as a group we were really resilient and dug deep to make sure that we came out with the win.
There’s a tightness as a group because of the experience of playing with each other and the familiarity of being a squad.
We all really enjoy winning and it’s a good feeling to have. But there are a lot of different variables that go into a game of basketball and the coach also made the right calls at the right times.
I think we’re used to winning right now and that helped us get over the line last week.

We’re getting into situations that are helping us grow as players and as individuals. And then that’s coming together as a collective.
Plus, we’re learning from our previous mistakes and doing better jobs in those situations. In recent years, it’s not gone as smooth as it is now, but this year we’re finding our feet a lot better and not making the same mistakes twice.
We have two games this weekend, starting with Bristol Hurricanes on Saturday, before meeting Hemel again on Sunday in a rearranged game.
Both matches are at home so that should help.
Hurricanes are a tough side. They’ve been losing a lot but they will put up a fight.

They’re going to come to us with all the intentions of taking a win from us.
Playing Hemel again is good and bad – twice in eight days. It’s a bit unusual but the previous date was cancelled as they had illness in the camp.
The disadvantage is they they know all about guys from a week ago. But also, we know all about them, so hopefully, our game plan can push us through.
