WE may have recorded a ninth successive win last weekend – but the next few games will decide the story of how this season could go.
A huge double header against London Cavaliers and Reading Rockets produced two more victories as our incredible run continued.
This is what we’ve been building up to over the past 18 months and it’s all coming together at the right time.
What we’re feeling at the moment is that we cannot lose whenever we step out on to the court – that’s what winning so many games does for you.
Also, the opposition would never admit it, but psychologically when you’re playing other teams, they can see our record and know we mean business.
We’re not a Mickey Mouse team, we’re here to win and grow our success.

At the end of the day against London, we knew we were going to win and that confidence shone through.
But on Sunday against Reading, it was probably our best game of the season, if I’m honest.
From start to finish, we were locked in, we were focussed on the job at hand. Reading are a great side with a great coach.
It was one of those games where everything went right for us. After both games, we were sat in third place, but we’ve got to play everyone in and around us in the next few weeks, starting with Milton Keynes Breakers on Saturday evening.
So this is it now. We’re at the stage where the confidence is high, we’re clicking and playing well as a team.
Whenever we step on the floor now, we just don’t think anyone can beat us. It’s just a collective feeling. The coach and the players, all of us really believe in our abilities and skill sets.

We’re just thinking that, by any means necessary, we’re going to win this game. Everything that we’ve put into it is now reaping rewards for all of us.
Last season’s roster was a little bit different. We’ve added two new players and that’s helped a lot.
It’s an accumulation of lots of different things. We’ve come to terms with what we’ve got, and we’re using it to the best of our abilities.
At the same time, people have improved. We’ve got players that were with us before and, a year on, they’re going with the flow and improving their own skill set. Awesome.
I know one of our players, Ron Blain, speaks to a lot of different players, lots of different teams. And people are taking notice of what we’re doing now and they aren’t taking us lightly.
They know they can’t. They have to prepare for us. They have to try and scout us as best they can because we’re out there looking for wins.

But Milton Keynes will be looking for blood as we’ve already beaten them this season.
They’re sitting just below us in the table and they’ll be out for revenge.
It’s a big game for us, we want to keep climbing up the table.
Next week. We’ll be back at home against Derby Trailblazers – but it’ll be on a Friday night this time.
The club are trying something new to see if this is better for fans to come and watch us.
We’ve had Saturday nights and Sunday nights, and we’re trying to see what works best for the club.
That’s what it’s all about, getting bums on seats as we continue to grow. Derby bring fans too so it should be a great atmosphere.
